6. if they played more on clay, the head to head would have been different… Not to mention that Clijsters almost had beaten Venus at Wimbledon in 2003 SF, but her choking habbit gave Venus the opportunity to turn things around (full credit to Venus though). What if this, what if that, … “what if’s” are pointless.

8. Perhaps… but she still felt good enough to go out there and play, implying she thought she was capabable of playing on a high enough level to beat Kim; which wasn’t the case. Kim beat her fair and square, just as she did in 2005 and 2010.

14. Li clearly was a better player than Kim in this match groundstroke-wise; however, her mentality was not as strong as Kim (she is a bit of a hot head). I’m glad Li finally won a Grand Slam title. She deserved it.

15. I think Li Na choked this match not as bad as the next year at the Australian Open when Li Na choked when she had four match points. But Li was up a set against Clijsters yet found a way to lose lost her concentration complaining about the Chinese fans.

16. This was Kim Clijsters last ever Singles title and her 4th and last Grand Slam Singles title.

21. Well as usual Wozniacki got dispatched in straight sets by Clijsters because she has a bigger more powerful game.

22. I don’t think it was bad luck in 2001 French Open Clijsters was two points from beating Capriati but she got tight. Clijsters in the first part of her career has a long history of choking big matches.
